When Bob started IndyBeer back in 2003 blogs didn't exist. After a transformation to IndianaBeer and a varying staff since 2006 we're finally putting down a glass long enough to catch up with the rest of the world.
Welcome to the opening day of our new blog format. The same articles, news summaries, reviews, and more from IndianaBeer folks that were in the cumbersome News page will now be here. Note the new url for the news: indianabeer.blogspot.com. Everything else is still at IndianaBeer.com. Moving between the two will be transparent if we do it right.
We'll update more often. We'll soon be indexed in blog aggregators and already RSS feeds are available (See Subscribe on the left side).
And we'll now have comments from you, our readers (not to mention flames from those we've managed to malign). So join in the fun, relax, have a home/micro brew, and join the conversation if you wish; just click on the little x comments at the bottom of the post.
Thanks for your support over the years. IndianaBeer is getting over 300,000 page views a month and our sponsor, World Class Beverages, is happy with us.
We also are going to add more correspondents and the blog should make that easier. But we are still comfortably behind the state of the art - no Twittering allowed.

Thank you for the new format. I've wanted to subscribe as an RSS for a while now.
1997 called. They want their web page back.
I like the idea of the blog format. I've been following this site since it was indybeer.com and definitely see a blog type system as a good thing. There are a couple of things that could stand to be improved. 1) The theme/color scheme is ugly at best. 2) Consider hosting the blog on indianabeer.com; You already having hosting why not use it. blogspot.com tends to be slow at times.
We just started setting up the blog last Wednesday. There's no doubt much to be improved.
Colors: Went for readability and width of posts on your screen. Not married to it (otherwise I'd have to get indignant at calling my wife ugly). Want to stay with black text. All suggestions are welcome.
Hosting: It looks like using blogspot within our indianabeer.com server still uses Google's code. Honestly didn't want to spend the time to set up (or even learn) the Custom Domain thing. This isn't going to change right now.
Everyone's a critic, ain't they? I think this is a nice little bit of progress. I also think that unless you start pinning a bunch of slow-loading add-ons in (like we did) you'll find that blogger loads pretty quick.
We're kinda married to our add-ons, though. At least until we can find quicker alternatives...
Good luck with this thing.
