Beer Jam / Blues Jam

The little notice in the Calendar for Thirstday, June 11 went "Tapping of Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout and Old Curmudgeon at Chumleys Broad Ripple. 6pm"  but the evening had far more than those two beers. Mike Sprinkle called a RateBeer get-together so about 30 people shared about 30 beers they brought after the spotlight Founders' beers ran out.

Highlights included Espresso Oak Aged Yeti, Ølfabrikken Winter Porter, Du De Ciel Peche Mortel, Southern Tier Imperial Choklat Stout, and more but my notes get fuzzy at this point.

Mike's party ended about 9pm, just in time to catch the first session of the weekly blues jam up the street at Mug Shots. Terrible acoustics, not a great beer list (ask for Red Stripe), but it's not crowded. Governor Davis does the first set and the music is stupendous all night long.
