New Albanian's Haggis Laddie Celtic Red will go on tap this Saturday in time for them to also take it to the Celt on the River festival & concert. info

Hey homebrew clubs.  The Indiana Brew-B-Q Homebrew Gathering is this Saturday at the Sun King brewery on the east side of downtown Indy. 135 N. College Ave. map Just in time for the start of drop-offs for entries also at Sun Kingto the Indiana State Fair Brewer's Cup – . Weather says it will be 92°.

Paul Edwards points out "There's a parade on the 12th that will have Mass Ave closed off from College to Michigan St, along with parts of Michigan St (west of the Mass Ave intersection), and Meridian St will be partially blocked. So will Pennsylvania. So don't try to get to Sun King from the north side of Indy by coming down College, or Meridian or Pennsylvania.
These people need a handout and a hand. The Ironclad Hotel closed. The nearest place to get a beer is 75 miles away and it's out of beer. The second nearest place is another 125 miles away. Sucks to live in Marble Bar, Western Australia. article

Whew. If you think IndianaBeer can pan a beer sometimes see Migration, We Have a Problem.

"Light beer is in a slump. Advertising Age reported this week that U.S. sales of the biggest brands are in an alarming slide, with Bud Light down 5.3% this year and Miller Lite off 7.5%. Is this but a recessionary blip or are we finally witnessing a great consumer revolt against shamefully bad beer, shamelessly promoted?" So starts this Wall Street Journal article that should be printed in 32 point letters on every liquor store wall.
