AB Inbev to buy Goose Island

Another consolidation hits the beer industry. After a week of celebrating craft beer at the Craft Brewers Conference in San Francisco last week, comes the news that there will be one less independent craft brewer, as Goose Island is purchased by AB Inbev, the global beer giant with Bud and Stella brands. I predict additional consolidation in the craft beer arena during the next 12 months.
